Eagles Nest – Elementary Program (Kindergarten – 3rd Grade)
Our BYC has a new name! Since the Bellaire Youth Initiative has expanded to the middle and high school programs, we have decided to rename the Bellaire Youth Center to carry our BYI name. We will now be know as the BYI Eagles Nest. This initiative will continue to be held on Tuesdays at the elementary school from 3-5 p.m. We will offer this to the K-3rd graders like last year.
Our BYI Eagles Nest program will begin on September 11th.
Applications to our pre-registered families will be handed out at the Bellaire Elementary Open House on Wednesday, August 29th from 5:00 – 6:30. I will have them in your child’s classroom.

Offered: Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM during the school year.

The Bellaire Youth Initiative (BYI) Eagles Nest Elementary School Program, offered by the Bellaire Youth Initiative, is held in the John Rodger Elementary School at 6535 John R. Rodger Rd in Bellaire. It is offered one afternoon a week, after school from 3:00 – 5:00. Any child, Kindergarten through 3rd grade living in the Bellaire School District can attend free of charge.
The BYI Eagles Nest coordinator plans fun, creative activities for the children. Adult volunteers generously donate their time and come weekly to interact with the children and assist them with their homework and projects.
When the children arrive after school they are offered a healthy, appealing snack. They are given the opportunity to work on a creative activity, play table games, go outside or play in the gym. Every child has the opportunity to work on a tablet and or computer during their time at BYI Eagles Nest.
